Michael Burnam, MD

CEO and Founder

Award-winning scientist, inventor, and clinician with thirty years of biotech executive experience. Co-invented one of the first heart attack blood tests, was nominated for the Yallow-Berson International Prize in Immunology, and invented and achieved FDA clearance for a pre-calibrated and disposable potassium blood test.

Eli Gang, MD

Chief Medical Officer, Executive VP
and Co-Founder

Internationally known electrophysiologist and inventor, Clinical Professor at UCLA and Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and author of more than 150 papers on electrophysiology and cardiac pacing.

Michael Coyle, MBA

Board of Directors

Coyle served as Executive Vice President and President for the Cardiovascular Portfolio at Medtronic, a position he held until November 2020. He was responsible for optimizing Medtronic enterprise performance by supporting capital allocation, talent management, investments, and collaboration to create value across all of Medtronic’s Operating Units. Prior to Medtronic, he provided leadership consulting services to private equity, venture capital, and medical device technology firms. From 2001 to 2007, he served as a divisional president at St. Jude Medical where he led the company’s global pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillator, and cardiac resynchronization businesses. Coyle also led the company’s Daig Catheter division in an earlier president role and held numerous leadership positions at Eli Lilly & Company.

Robert Develle, PA

Consultant

Involved with BaroPace’s Clinical Affairs. Directed clinical study operations for St Jude Medical/Abbott for several large human studies including most recently a pivotal randomized FDA trial of 236 enrolled subjects.

Srikanth Jadcherla, MS

Technology Advisor

Engineer, Educator and Entrepreneur and one of the world’s leading experts on mobile electronics’ design and verification. Chairman of Global Technology University and Founder/CEO of iMedrix Inc in addition to helping med-tech startups architect lasting solutions. Recipient of the Intel Achievement Award and has 10 patents.

Kenneth Ellenbogen, MD

Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board

Director of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing on the MCV Campus, Virginia Commonwealth University. He currently holds the Kimmerling Professor of Medicine. He has published more than 390 original scientific reports and over 200 book chapters, editorials and review articles. Dr. Ellenbogen is the editor or co-editor of five textbooks on cardiac electrophysiology and pacing.

Uri Elkayam, MD

Professor of Medicine and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California. Nationally and internationally known expert in heart failure and heart disease in pregnancy. Present or past editorial board member of several prestigious cardiovascular journals including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Heart Failure, Heart Failure Reviews, Journal of Preventive Cardiology, and Cardiology in Review.

Mark W. Kroll, PhD, FACC, FHRS, FIEEE, FAIMBE

Biomedical scientist specializing in Bioelectricity and Biomechanics. Former Senior VP and Chief Technology Officer of St Jude Medical. Author of hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific papers and over 380 issued US patents, the vast majority for implantable medical devices. Adjunct full professor of Biomedical Engineering at California Polytechnic University.

Elisabeth Neely, BA, BS

Sanjiv J. Shah, MD

Scientific Advisory Board

Director of Research, Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, and Director, Center for Deep Phenotyping and Precision Therapeutics, Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He currently holds the Stone Endowed Professor of Medicine. He has published more than 450 original scientific reports and over 150 book chapters, editorials, and review articles. Dr. Shah is an internationally recognized expert in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), and he is currently the principal investigator of the Data Translation Center for the large-scale, multicenter NIH HeartShare Study. He has also served in leadership roles in numerous international heart failure clinical trials.

Florian Rader, MD, MSc

A clinical investigator, specializing in the management of hypertension and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He serves as Medical Director of the Hypertension Center of Excellence and Co-Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He ranks as Associate Professor at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA and has published over 120 manuscripts focusing on novel approaches to the treatment of hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and valvular heart disease.
